The Mom Jean

All of a sudden the 'Mom' jean has appeared back on the market, a cut of jean we all thought got lost in the 90's. I, personally, am absolutely in love with this particular cut of jean and I'll tell you why they are better than the classic Skinny jean with three persuasive points.

Number One - THEY ARE HIGH WAISTED! I don't know about you but I firmly believe high waisted bottoms are amongst the most flattering. They cover those dreaded love handles, food babies and accentuate one of the most feminine parts of your body; your waist! Can't quite put an outfit together with your favourite crop top? These jeans have it sorted. You can wear a cropped top without showing off too much, you will look great and classy plus everything goes with jeans. I have found recently that the number of crop tops I own is multiplying at a great speed but I can never find a trouser to wear with them that doesn't show off too much mid-drift so these were definitely a life saver on that front.

Number Two - They're baggy. Before you're put off let me explain why this is a plus! The fit is like that of a boyfriend jean, with the difference of a fitted higher waist a 'sinched' cuff at the bottom. The comfort you will feel in these jeans is unbelievable, I'm being serious here, you will experience levels of comfort your thought only possible in your pyjammas...but you can wear these outside! Sold yet?

Number Three - Two words; Ankle. Grazers. I am obsessed with the ankle...grazed?...look. I'm going to be completely honest here, I'm not too sure why I love it so much, all I know is that I do. I feel like it looks fresh and casual with some ankle boots and on the flip side, sleek and classy with a cute pair of heels. The length of the jeans hits an inch or so above the ankle and flaunts your footwear more than a normal cut pair of jeans would. I love that I can show off and highlight my shoes with these.

I hope you are now a Mom Jean convert! They're high waisted, ultra comfortable and cropped. What more could you ask for from the humble jean?
